Newport

Hi

I am travelling to Newport to collect passport. Just wondering if anyone can suggest a decent location near to that area, as I wil have to wait for 4 hours for it to be processed. Thanks in advance.

I can't help much, as I'm not from the area, but Newport Wetlands RSPB Reserve springs to mind. Have been there once only though... Very nice place, for more details have a look here:

As Macs said Newport wetlands is an excellent reserve but it's not reachable by public transport, it would take approximately half an hour to drive out of Newport and it's a big reserve. But if you are in a car then probably worth it anyway. I miss it!

Make sure you familiarise yourself with directions if you do go though, I got lost on country lanes the first time. Having said that they've built a centre since I was last there so there are probably better signs now.
