Breaking news from Rare Bird Alert: Glossy Ibis in Cambridgeshire.

These were thought to have been flushed by the Pallid Harrier over the washes just south of Chain Corner, and then flew north! Sadly I arrived just a few minutes too late to see this extraordinary double act.... but the harrier wasn't exactly disappointing on its own.

How many Glossy Ibis were there do you know? I arrived at about 7pm and no-one mentioned any Ibis. In fact, there were hardly any people present at all. Then work presumably finished and flood loads came along, just in time for a final showing of the harrier as it disappeared off East. Cracking bird!

There were 7, just flew over us. There were only a couple of people left when we departed as the light was poor. Well done for connecting with "The Boy" we thought it was all over for the night. Cheers, P.:smoke:
