Hello
Have spent the last 3 days with family as a 'tourist' in the Capital City.

I was pleasantly surprised by the ammount of greenery & trees, especially the parks.

#Birds seen along the way (No specific birdiwatching) included:-
Blackbird, Song & Mistle Thrush, Blackcaps, Chiffchaff, Starling, House Sparrows, Wood Pigeon, H.Gull, LBB.Gull, Cormorant, Pied Wagtail, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Blue Tit, Kestrel, Grey Heron, Moorhen, etc

#Records which i thought were more unusual:-
1 Sand Martin over Regents Park
1 female Sparrowhawk scattering the pigeons at the 'Eye'
1 Coot flying low along the River at the 'Eye'
1 singing Goldcrest seen in Regents Park.

Hope this is of interest to someone...

So there are still some Spuggies in London after all!

Not a bad list for non birding visit. I've been considering a similar break there myself as it's 20+ years since I was last there.

I work in central London and have done for over 15 years and for the first time this year I have found a small group of house sparrows nesting in a small green space close to oxford street. I hope they are starting a recovery in numbers here as I love to hear them and see them.
