Has anybody used PurelyGadgets and have any feedback on their service, good or bad? They currently have the cheapest price I can find for the Olympus 50-200 lens and, as a bonus, offer a free five year warranty on all the lenses they sell. Any personal experiences of their service would be welcome.

No experience myself Ron but a quick google showed this page http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews119724.html
Not looking good from those reviews.

Don't touch them with a barge pole.
The only reason their lenses are cheaper is because they are grey imports.
I ready enough complaints on a photography forum to make me steer well clear of them.

Thanks Roy and Daz. Those reviews are definitely not reassuring. I think I will hang onto my money.

Having read all the above I must say that I have used them once or twice, about a year or so ago and had no reasons to complain then. It seems from the above that their service seems to have gone downhill recently.

I ordered a Sigma lens a few weeks ago from Amazon which came from Purely Gadgets. Took a few days longer than I expected but they advised me directly about this and the lens was really well packed.
No complaints from me, but perhaps they try not to upset a big customer like Amazon.

I bought my Hyperdrive Colorspace UDMA from them earlier this year, mainly because they were the only UK supplier I could find. Service was fast and no problems.
