has the gretna starling specticle stared again this autumn
There's a good Starling roost at Penrith too. Recent evenings have produced 50,000+ birds. Best viewing is from the KFC car park, opposite the hospital.

i visited gretna last night and parked at the service station on the m74 from about 4.15pm the starlings started to gather behind the service staion by 4.45pm there were thousands of them flying around the services.they must use 2 areas to roost the other one is on the other side of the services.you can park in a small layby on the b road leading into gretna green

cheers may have a run to penrith for a look i was at gretna on monday they were all behind the service station
