I've found 1 of these for a good price and am thinking of purchasing it to go with a Nikon D90. I am wondering how much you would expect to pay and if there is any equipment e.g. adapters that I will need to buy for it to work with the D90.

Thanks Jonathan Scragg

I don't think you should need any adaptor to fit the lens, but I am no expert on the Nikon range.

What I can say is this lens appears tobe retailing around the £120 mark so second hand I would expect far cheaper. Also whilst I understand that funds are limited I would strongly suggest trying to find an APO edition of this lens - the APO is an upgrade and has improved coatings on the glass which leads to avery noticable improvement in overall image quality. A canon version is retailing at around £140 (on amazon) but nikon listings there are around the £160-70 mark but since its the same basic lens you might find a price similar to the canon if you shop around - 2nd hand is also a viable option

I agree. Pay the extra & get the APO version. For the money it is a greatly underated lens. The macro setting is great for larger insects such as butterflies & dragonflies. You need to stop it down to F8 to get the best quality. The Puffins on my website were taken with the APO version, even the flight shot.
