I decided (as I'd been invited) to go for a drive into the quarry at Wildmoor this morning.
Yellow-legged Gulls keep being reported there, but I wasn't confident of seeing or IDing one (which was just as well). Still, a pleasant hour or two was spent sat in the wife's Freelander. She really must wash her car more often!
Here are a couple of shots to let you get a feel for the place...
If anyone ever wants to go, give me a shout as I have access whereas, Joe-public is restricted to the nearby lay-by that overlooks part of the quarry.
I initially had a wander around but it was far too easy to spook the Gulls, so I stayed in the car which was a great success. BTW, the sand in this place stains like you won't believe, so tatty clothes are a must.

No, I didn't see any, I'm afraid and yes a Kumlien's Gull was reported for a couple of days earlier this year.
My only regret (being as this is right on my doorstep), now that the clocks have gone back is that my only available time to have a shuftie here will be weekends. But I suppose that's the same for all of us that work 9 'til 5.

Yeah, I realised that you're still a student. But, you're right, it's just the same - no time for birding before or after the working/academic day.
I'd forgotten about last week's Caspian Gull...
