Can anyone offer assistance with three queries on these Tripods:

On which Manfrotto models are the Swaro 1 and 2 tripods based?

Are they both ready fitted with 128RC heads?

Do they only come in green?

Thanks in advance

I have recently bought a No.1 and it is definately black. All over! I don't know what head it has or which model it's based on. I do know, that the head is not really up to the job of carrying an ATS80HD along with CP4500 and all the gubbins. I would love to change it for a video head. My wife, however, is not as convinced!

"Swaro #1" sounds like the "Zeiss tripod", which is indeed a Manfrotto 055SSB w/128RC head. I'm happy with mine, and have no problems with the head supporting the 85T*FL, CP4500, SOC, and adapter.

I've got the #1 and although it is a heavy sucker, it is a dream in the field. Stable and fluid.

B (: The head used on Manfrotto branded tripod kits is the 128RC, and is identical to look at compared to the 'version' on the Swarovski. Internally the Swarovski is different as there is no fluid in the head, so in my opinion its not as easy to make smooth pan and tilt movements as the version on the Manfrotto and Zeiss models.
