Of course since its on a cricket pitch in mid-Cheshire it must be an escape, whereas if it had left IMF and flown over me its would clearly be wild ;) Or is that just a silly point?

Jane's comments are a little "silly", just because the bird is in "mid" Cheshire I think it is a little "off" for anyone to suggest it is not wild....

All wild unless proved otherwise (my view and I like it!), whilst I watched it the bird was in a gulley, but it does have a fine leg pair, however, after a while it took flight and gave us the slip!

Glad you Covered that point. One thing that can be said of course is that it is not in possesion of a short leg!

Not sure how wild it is (was?) but my mum was livid when I took her to see it and we dipped!
