BBC Countryfile program today - scientists agree that global warming will have a large impact on average temperatures in Britain.
A 5 degree increase in average temperature is forecast over the next 80 years or so.
Apparently each degree increase is the same as moving Britain 125 miles further south.
This may sound nice and we may get some longed-for European species as regular breeders but surely it would mean the loss of some of our colder loving birds such as Ptarmigan and Dotteral.
Next weeks edition is about the effect of global warming on Britains wildlife - should be interesting.

Thanks for that one paj.

Will have to video it, it sounds like one not to be missed.

It is a concern, especially living in Norfolk with rising sea levels. There are not many hills in this fine county, thankfully I live on one of them. That is not an i'm alright jack attitude, I do try to do my bit. Loads of recycling. You cannot get into my garage! Composting, locally bought food and various other little bits and bobs.

I'm afraid you've missed it El.
It was on a fortnight ago!
You may be able to get a run down of its contents on the BBC web site.
