Birding on Tenerife

Hi there,

I will go to Tenerife next month. My hotel is located in the northern part of the island, in fact in the center of Puerto de la Cruz. A few years ago, I have been to Tenerife, but I wasn't a birdwatcher then. So can anybody please tell me where I should go to watch birds on the island? Thanks for any advice!
