I went to North Wales today, I didn't really intend to go as far as Anglesey but ended up at South Stack, it was unusually quiet there, so I was going to have a quick look at the Shags nest down the steps before heading back towards Conwy, instead of going down the steps I headed up over the headland and near the top spotted a Bluethroat (No doubt about this one!)
I put the word out after about 20mins and I then knew that I wouldn't have long to get close up photos before the birders arrived. I did get some good shots of it and here is one of them.

Nice shot,Steve and always good to find them yourself.
Wasn't there a Ring-necked Duck there today as well?

Hi Trevor,

Yes, the duck was asleep in the corner of the lake, barely visible and definitely not photographable.
