1 Bittern today (6th Jan) at Old Moor Wetlands RSPB near Barnsley and 4 now at the nearby Potteric Carr reserve just off of Junction 3 M18.

Hi Birdman - The ones at Potteric seem stable - the Old Moor Bird has been seen on and off at the Wath Ings hide over the last few days

there is at least one bittern at London WWT.....not a bad bird for a city centre - and as a bonus - Cetti's Warbler in the same reedbed....nearest tube station is Hammersmith

Any Bitterns in Staffordshire area near featherstone? I will be up to see my brother very soon and am keen on a Bittern if possible. Will be going to Sheffy as I have told Doug already but can't have enough Bitterns can ya?
