Hi from Louisiana

Hello fellow Bird watchers. I live in Louisiana and take pictures of birds with a Canon Digital Rebel. I am glad I found such a good place to visit with others who enjoy the same thing I do....Birding!!!! I saw a painted bunting a few weeks ago but was unable to get a good photograph but I am watching for it and if I get a picture, I will post it. Thanks for letting me be a part of your group.

Tervetuloa to Birdforum, Mr Rebel. Good to have more cajuns here... I spent one year in Lafayette three years ago, which resulted my USA birdlist being almost as big as over thirty years in Finland.

From a fellow north Louisianian. I joined today, when I went out on the internet to look for help with a problem with swallows on my porch. I look forward to seeing everyone's pictures.

I saw my first bunting last year in my yard, but if I remember correctly, it was in the fall. It was around for a week or so, so you ought to be able to get a picture.

I can easily see that these forums could become addictive!

I live near Shreveport. I have seen some indigo buntings but have not been able to get a really clear picture. I saw a painted bunting a few weeks ago but I have not seen one since. I do have some nice pictures of red bellied woodpeckers, blue jays, redbirds, etc...:)
