Injured hummer

Right now there's an injured or ill Allen's hummingbird in my backyard :(. She can barely fly and her breathing is very labored. There are no veterinary places open so I'm letting nature take it's course. Any idea what might be wrong with it? It really hurts to see such a beautiful bird injured... :-C

Its hard to say what could be wrong with her. You could call a wildlife rehabilitator and see if they have any advice for you. Here is a list of rehabbers in your state; if you cannot find one in your area you can call fish and wildlife and they may be able to put you in touch with someone.

Well, it was late when I got your suggestion, so I had to wait until today. When I went to check on her, she had expired :(
