Need Info On Gambia

Does anyone out there have knowledge of Gambia? I'm just in the process of planning a trip for this coming November. Is this a good time of year to go?

I know that the country has an excellent reputation for birding but what is the best area to stay in, for being in close to the top birding spots?
Speaking of which..... what are the best birding spots in the country?

Also, does anyone have knowledge of where I can book organized day excursions for birding while I'm out there?
