Any suggestions for where me and the other member of the "Freakin' SAS" (rogerk) can go tomorrow?
I notice from Birdguides that a few Pied Flys (one of my "most wanted") have been appearing along the norfolk coast this week (though not today - yet) but what of any other unusual species I might've missed?
Anything else of interest been popping up in N.Norfolk recently? Not neccesarily rare even.
I know it's still quite early for the really good stuff, but I've already pencilled in a couple of September/October trips to Holkham et.al. !!!

Any (sensible ;) ) suggestion will be gratefully recieved :t:

BTW, richuk, yes I'll be trying for the Bedford Peregrine on the way home...............probably ;)

Mainly waders at the moment - plenty of opportunity to catch up with Spot-shank, Curlew Sand, Wood Sand etc at the reserves along the North Norfolk Coast. Snettisham (high tide required), Titchwell and Cley being the most obvious...Any group of large Gulls could contain Yellow-legged Gulls and Terns are worth checking too....might be a Roseate amongst any concentrations at this time of year...
Hickling Broad has an excellent selection of waders on Rushhill scrape - including 2 Pectoral Sandpipers and a couple of Spoonbill.
A few early migrants have been reported at places like Holme and Blakeney though I wouldn`t expect them to linger if the weather stays like this....
