Hello.

Has anyone used the above? I've got a 700rc2 head that I would like to use window mounted with my Fieldscope/camera combination.

Thanks

Definitely get one. I have used one for several months with my Nikon S&E 80mm scope and it works great. There is nothing quite like sitting in your heated car drinking coffee while your fellow birders are crouched over their scopes in the freezing rain. I would recommend this for any birder with a scope (and a car!). It saves time during those "drive-bys" of the local ponds, beaces, etc. It will work with the 701RC2 provided you have enough clearance inside your car for the panning handle. I use mine with a ball head and I find myself using this set-up far more often than I use my tripod. The pod without the head is $25.
