I'm going to a place called Javea for Christmas this year. It's near Denia, not far from Alicante. Does anyone know of any good places for birding? Also-being an amateur-what I should be looking out for?
Thanks in advance.
john.

Hi John.

I don't know the area personally but there is an English bird guide working in that region who has a very informative website you may find interesting.

His name is Jules Sykes and he lives in Oliva, near Alicante. His website address is www.olivaramatours.com

I hope this is of use.

Regards from Donana.

John.

Take a look at:
http://www.naturalicante.com/
(in spanish, but there is a link to "where to watch birds in Alicante" --> http://elgomis.eresmas.net/dondeaves/dondeaves-i.htm)
Hope this helps...
Xabi
