Hi All,

I will be leaving for Ecuador in mid February. I and 5 friends will be staying at the Tandayapa Bird Lodge on the western slope of the Andes.

Has anyone on this forum ever been at this lodge or heard from others having stayed there?

We will be making daily forays in various directions from the lodge. Some to higher and lower elevations. A bird guide will lead us. Needless to say, I'm excited!

Any information about past trips to Ecuador will whet my appetite.

Hi Dennis,

First hand knowledge is always best on an adventure like this - and I'm sorry that I cannot be of help there.

However, if you get no joy here on the Forum, may I suggest you try the Lonely Planet Guide on Ecuador, if you haven't already done so.

(I'd have a sneaky look in the bookshop before buying, just in case the exact information you need is not there - but I didn't tell you that, OK?;) )
