Does anyone have any experience with this Porro binocular? I am particularly curious about edge sharpness. In a glass with such a wide field of view, I am suspicious about how much fall off in resolution may occur.

Thank you,

I tried this binocular and was unsatisfied, however, some may find that it has value in its price range.

Out of interest what didn't you like about it?

Leif,

I did not expect a great binocular at this price point. US$500 seems to be the border between mediocre and superior optics. It has a large field and I anticipated poor edge performance. In daylight, and for bird watching, this may suit some persons' needs. It's peculiar that a Porro with 42mm objectives could not do what a roof prism glass, with 40 mm. objectives could do in resolving stars on a humid, light polluted night. I have both astronimcal and bird watching needs in mind for binoculars, even though these needs may not always be met by the same glass.

Happy nature observing,
