Low Barns Twitch

Low Barns is my local patch. I cant recall rushing down a dinner so fast to see the Bittern that had been reported there.

Bittern, Goosander (x2), Goldeneye, Marsh Tit & Kingfisher amongst the more commoner birds.

I'm envious Dave, that Bittern is a superb sighting.

Whereabouts did you see the Kingfisher ?

I've seen them on the river and on the island facing the South Hide, but no close up views yet. Have you noticed the branch that has been stuck inthe ground to the right of the South Hide, the Kingfisher is supposed to be using that as a perch, but I've never seen it on there yet.

It's one of my favourite sites which I visit a couple of times each month.
