The lowest clip on one of the legs of my Manfrotto 443 has split rendering that section totally limp and useless, and I can't seem to get through to Manfrotto at all to help me, so as an appeal, does anybody know where to get quick and efficient relief for this nightmarish limp legged problem, other than just using the top half of the legs and giving myself an acutely bad back?
Any help much appreciated..........

You could also try

Fabio.Prada@manfrotto.com

He sent me a new centre column for my 443 when it started to refuse to go up or down in its collar. Now the new one is doing the same, and will only move after applying Pledge furniture polish :o(

Thanks all.

Pete - I may become a monopod soon, it seems like the way forward!
Simon - Tried it already, maybe they're a bit slow.......
William - A name may help.......and that's interesting, because my middle column is a bit stiff too! (I swear this isn't supposed to sound like a Carry On film, but with Pete's 'have it off' it is turning into one........ ;) )
Christine - I don't think they'd like to know, it's had a lot of use and I'm certain the warranty was over long ago......also doesn't help that I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere and I bought it online.........
Salty - I'd still say they're worth buying, but it depends on how harshly it's treated, and I have to say mine has been through the wars and has been used constantly (pretty much every day, legs up and down all day long) for two years or thereabouts.

Anyway, thanks folks, please keep 'em coming.........
