Not sure if this should go in the computor section but I have found a bit of software called Netmeter.

It is usefull if you have live webcams as it tracks how much data you have uploaded and downloaded. Many service providers now charge if you go over a set limit.

It will breakdown totals daily, weekly, monthly and also has a trip setting. You can also monitor people on your webcams by using its live display as well as projecting your usage.

I have used it for over a year now with no problems.

Best of all it is Freeware.

Netmeter can be found here http://readerror.gmxhome.de/

If you look at our website you will see that we used boxwatch, and are very pleased with the results.

i fancy the idea of either a nestbox cam or feeder cam. might get one set up next year, feeder cam might supply me with footage of how many sparrows we are losing to hawks! frustrating because i love the sparrows etc, but still adore my raptors!

You could always do both.

Use the camera in the nest box from Feb to May then set it up on your feeder for the rest of the year. You can knock up a box to house your camera near your bird feeder out of wood for a few pounds.

I do the same with one of my cameras but set it up overlooking one of my ponds.

Good luck.
