Hi,
It's time I did another one of these. They shouldn't be to hard.
I'll check in at times to see how you're coming. The answers will be posted in a day or two.
Have fun... :bounce:

Grief! All of these look odd. Probably way out, but my guesses:
Ruddy Duck
Short-billed Dowitcher
Pectoral Sandpiper
M Cowming

Just to be different I'll go with Long-billed Dowitcher and agree with Jason on the other 2!
Think it's a short-billed myself though... ;)

Without looking it up I can't for the life of me remember which dowitcher has unmarked tertials (it is a juv isn't it??) but I think it is Long-billed so.......
Ruddy Duck
Long-billed Dowitcher
Pectoral Sandpiper
Looks like this is too easy for American members to bother with!!

Here are the answers:
1. Ruddy Duck (Congratulations to all! Too easy ;))
2. Long-billed Dowitcher (Congratulations to M Cowming, Andrew, and Steve) You're right, Steve; Juvenile Long-billed Dowitchers have unmarked Tertials, vs a Short-billed's marked tertials.
3. Pectoral Sandpiper (Congratulations to all, again)
Anyone for more? o:) I think I have plenty!
Michael
