View Full Version : Where Are My Robins?

I live in the Houston area. When I was a kid (37 now) we literally had Robins by the tens of thousands. There was not an open space of grass that was not covered by migrating Robins. I cannot tell you the last time that I saw one, literally years. At the same time our non-migratory dove, pigeon, and squirrel populations have skyrocketed. What gives? I don't see a correlation between the thriving species and the Robins since the Robins were migratory.

Itr may be that they couldn't find enogh food so they left to find more.

Maybe they are not needing to migrate so far south, because of global warming and the increasing amount of food put out in gardens
