Hi, can anybody give an opinion on this scope for digiscoping? I am still undecided between this and an ED78. What is the difference in value for money terms?

I looked at both last march and bought an ED 78 from Warehouse Express, The ED 78 is clearer, brighter, has no Chromatic Aberration that I can detect, and is just a fabulous scope especially for the money. It is worth the extra £200 especially since you are going to use it for digiscoping.

I've got the 80mm Spotting scope, and it's an OK scope, but not much more than that really.

Without any doubt the ED78 is the better scope, and the only one of the two I'd seriously consider for digiscoping.

You may find the x38 lens too powerful for digiscoping I know someone else ended up getting (or intending to get) the x30.
