Noticed a really large increase in the last week particularly Lapwings, starlings & corvids in the local fields, ducks in the ditches & the first of the geese flying about in the early mornings. More Kestrels than of late as well, which i hadn't expected
Loads more Redwings over last night, on my way to tesco i counted (heard) 20 by the time i'd got the end of my road

It will be interesting going to the HArbour on Saturday, see what will be about after the severe weather we have been experiencing lately. I am hoping to go early and get a good view at the right tides this time. I hope you have not been hit quite so hard up there, but I bet the birding will be great at the weekend. Good watching to you.

The Kestrels are probably migrants. Here in Lowestoft last night Redwings were heard coming in. In the past week or so I have heard Pink Footed Geese, Whooper Swans, Lapwings & Golden Plover. I have also witnessed several Grey Herons coming in off the sea during the day.
