Can anyone guess what this bird is? I shouldn't be too hard for some of you. Taken this morning in my backyard.

Looks like ome kind of hummingbird. But Hummers arent my stength.

Canīt really say. Maybe a Green-tailed? It seems to have a little bit of blue like a Paradise but I canīt see any white on the throat that I would expect. Youīre just going to have to tell us!

Beats me! In all my days in Guyana, I've never seen a native bird with that shiny green plumange, except for a common hummingbird. But I'll take a stab at it: it could be a parakeet.

I didn't see your reply until now! It is a Green-tailed Jacamar.

It's definitely not a bird that you would have seen often if you weren't a birdwatcher...
