I live in South Central Pennsylvania in a small woodland and would like to attract more Hummingbirds. I have very little sunlight because of all the trees so there are not many conventional Humming birds attracters that will grow. Any suggestions?

Mike:
Columbine is native to that region and is highly successful in low light conditions and should do well as a hummingbird attractor. I have had good luck with both Trumpet vine (don't know how it would do there) and coral honeysuckle (another PA native if I am not mistaken) under evergreen trees.
I am interested in your comment though. Some of the best hummingbird feeding stations I have seen have been very heavily vegetated - I think it is a key to their success.
