Lots of stuff to see in the area - the Arctic redpoll is still showing well at Titchwell - when you arrive look for it in the picnic area (it's often there) and if not in the alders near the visitor centre. It is normally with lesser or mealy redpoll (or both if you're lucky) and they are often moving with a small group of goldfinch (siskin too on Friday). Lots of other stuff on the reserve, all the obvious waders and ducks are there. It's worth checking the tide times (should be quite good next week) and going at high tide, that way you'll have a good chance of purple sand which has been showing really well in the last couple of weeks. There are good numbers of sea ducks too, 49 lt duck counted on Friday morning, also on the sea were common scoter, eider, gc grebe, rt diver, bt diver and razorbill, with gannet, fulmar and kittiwake as fly-bys.

At chosely park up and walk down the path away from the barns, then view towards Titchwell, good numbers of skylark, yellowhammer and corn bunting around, also a good chance of snow and lapland buntings.

Holkham will produce good numbers of geese, pinks and white-fronts should be v. easy from Lady Ann's, also the juv. snow goose is still around as are a few tundra beans. When you get to the end of the drive head straight out to the beach (firecrests were showing at the end of the drive a couple of weeks back) walk out to the right towards the dunes, the shorelarks often tuck in close to the dunes, snow buntings are often more flighty. It's well worth taking a walk in the park too, go up the road opposite Lady Ann's and park up on the right, then walk through the gates and to the right, towards the monument. This area is good for all three woodpeckers, also nuthatch and treecreepers.

If you get the chance it is worth popping a few miles inland to Harpley, both great grey shrike and black redstart have been in the area for many week and tend to show well.

Hope you have a good trip up here - feel free to pm for more details on any of the above.

Holkham Pines and Wells Woods (the edge of the Dell) are both pretty good for Willow Tit!
