Hello there!
Since I am new in this forum and may be this topic has already been discussed here I would like to appologise in advance if so!
The question is about the birdwatching companies, the places they take birders to (sometimes even directly to the nests of endangered species) and the results of this disturbance...
Do you know if throughout the world there is a kind of control among birdwatching companies who supervise each-other's birding activities in the field? I mean are there any methods or system established for one company to supervise the activity of the others and on the other hand to be also checked by them? For example if a group led by one company becomes a witness of how another group from another company causes obvious negative influence on birds (interrupting colonies or nests ot roosting places etc.) is there any way the activity of the other company to be stopped or the the company to be fined? Do you know of any legislation or regulations already working and dedicated to solving this problem as it could be with really dramatic effect sometimes?
