Birdbox design book [Archive]

A while ago there was a link on this site to an online bookshop(I think) with a nestbox desgn book at about £3 - they tend to be about £8. I guess the link was lost in the recent server crash - does anyone remember either the book or the bookshop ?

Well there are some designs in "Nestboxes" by Chris du Feu. It is about £3 and available at CJ Wildbird Foods

I have the addition you are requested but found the updated version far better and more diverse, but sadly it is quite a bit more money. I recommend the new version highly....and it's got colour!!

I guess any book about the subject is better than non.

I have met Chris de Feu - nice man - who told me that all the proceeds from the book go to the BTO, not to him. Don't be so tight. Support good groups like the BTO. Ha, ha!

If it's any help, you can log on to sights like the Lincolnshirer Wildlife Trust, and from there they produce a list of nest box designs and patterns you can download for free (how's that for a bargain?). Likewise I'm pretty sure the RSPB do the very same sort of thing. The LWT also do plans for bat boxes, and hedgehog hibernation homes etc. just in case you are interested in some other ideas.
