Hi Jane,Didn't make it around to Hoylake,Walked around West kirby marina no sign of long tailed duck ,has it left? Then had a walk out to Hilbre had a look at the Brent geese.Very enjoyable afternoon.

Hi from me too, can't be far away. The long tailed duck was last reported on the 7th... maybe it has gone |:(|

If you haven't already found it, this is a great place to find out whats about locally.

I went to Rivacre to see the Firecrests about a month ago, had great views for about 10 mins, then some locals turned up with kids and mini motor bikes. Firecrests, yellow wagtails et al all did a runner :C

No, haven't found time to get to Rivacre valley. Last one I saw was at Martin Mere some time ago.
Hilbre two weeks ago and Aberbechan on the R. Severn last weekend....no families with kids on mini-motorbikes there!!
