Hi All
Not sure if this is the correct place to introduce my Wife and I to the site?.We are a retired couple who are now living in the midst of wonderful flora & fauna, here in north West Catalunya at the foot of the Pyrenees (Spain). We feel we must take this opportunity to capture what we are seeing and to that end I am considering buying the Canon S1,which seemingly will give us(novices) what we want in terms of close-ups with shakey old hands!
I can also see a need to be able to utilise some sort of Scope. There are many Egyptian Vulters around just now ,but quite out of normal distance.
Is the S1 capable of this arrangement or I am going off at a tangent?
I feel I might be running before walking but I really dont want to get it wrong and be disappointed.
Any help /advise greatly appreciated!
Well done for a great site

Hello Norm and Margaret and on behalf of the entire staff here at BirdForum, a warm welcome to you both.

I'm not familiar with the camera you are citing but if you check some of the stickies in this particular forum, I think there is a list somewhere of suitable cameras for digiscoping. If not, then try to do an advanced search (located on top in the red navigation bar) Enjoy yourself here and don't be afraid to ask questions.
