View Full Version : Blind as a BAT! Focusing?

Hi,

This might sound a daft question, but here goes:

Tried digiscoping for the first time last week, utter rubbish!

I have the problem my eyesight at long distance is OK. But at short distances I require glasses (old age). How should I focus the scope and camera? Use my glasses at all times or focus the scope without and then use glasses to SEE the LCD?

It did seem to me that my focusing was incorrect. Can anyone enlighten me?

Cheers

I would focus everything with glasses on. I notice if I focus a scope without glasses and then put glasses on I need to refocus the scope!.

Hi Alan,

You could be right! Although, I've an aversion to using specs. I've come to the conclusion digiscoping maybe a pain in the preverbial for me :eek!: I should have stuck to an SLR.

I had a good chance of a photo of a Little Owl at the weekend, got a photo of the bark of a tree though! Camera movement, me thinks;)

LOL, But the other observers of the L.Owl weren't very pleased, so I gather! It was not a very common species there. Although, where I live they are as common as muck (Is that a common tern! Or an Arctic3:-) )
