Apologies for yet another ''saw this while i was on my bike ...'' but it's times like this that makes being out & about so special .... This morning i just didn't fancy the train so got on my bike instead and went off to work.
Along the way the Yellowhammers were singing, just as they have done for a couple of weeks now, often as not singing from what seems to be the very same branch each time i go past. The crows were chasing the Lapwings and the Lapwings were chasing the crows, while the Chaffinches were chasing each other and the Pheasants sat on the verge debating whether or not to play chicken and run in front of me. And i also spotted a Barn Owl, a Sparrowhawk, 3 Kestrels, a Jay ... and, first one this year, a rather tired looking Swallow sitting on a power line (opp. the cowshed on Brundall Low Road)... Yay summers here !
