Just came back from an excellent trip to Da Lat. Managed to see 3 of the 4 endemics there. A full trip report is here: Da Lat (http://www.freewebs.com/hannostamm/Dalat.htm)
Cheers,

Certinaly brings back happy memories from that area! Nice report, Collared Laughingthrushs, simply stunning, its great watching them try to lurk in the shadows, orange, red, silver, green and yellow doesn't hide all that well!
We walked all the way from the bottom of Lang Bien, wish we had driven up like you, bit of a trek! Excellent for wintering migrants though, little compensation though, hard work.
Hopefully I'll return in 2 years time, still Golden-winged & Chestnut-eared Laughingthrushes to see!
All the best

Thanks for the trip report
I know I will definitely be going back to Vietnam within next 4 -5 years - with proper birders so I don't have to rush and all those twitterings just out of sight will actually mean something
