On my way back up the road from Berwick to home. I decided to take the coastal route and have a look at Bass rock. This handsome chap was perched up in a tree and sat for me while i took a few photos.
Very common but beautiful all the same.

Taken with Olympus E1 using 50-200mm lens and 1.4x tc.
i want to try and get a few shots of the ospreys and red kites.

Very nice Steve. They do make for ideal photo subjects. I always find it hard to pass up on a photo op like this. A real beauty :t:

very nice pic indeed! - watched them today, about 6 in all, but you never get bored with our most common falcon.

Where do you see the red kites. I have only seen the one. I saw it at Loch Leven. Seemingly I was the second person to report a sighting there but haven't seen on esince I've love to see more.

OH my Gosh!!! That is a wonderful shot!! Don't ya just wonder what that branch looks like after he takes off....has to have his talons gripping all the way thru!!!!!

www.argatyredkites.co.uk. Near Doune, Stirling wonderful place to visit for Kites there is also a feeding station etc, so not to far from you. Check out the website for details.
