Good day all -
-- My first posting. With the disappearance of the Nikons with the small front elements ( I have a 990 ) have any of you all attempted to use some of the newer, tiny, digital cameras that have come out on the market?
-- The Minolta X series comes to mind - and with the X50 (3x zoom, 5mp) available for a relatively inexpensive cost - I'd like to see what some have done with this camera, this series, or those of similar size. And found the X-31 for under $150 (3.2mp, 3x zoom, AA batteries) - seems like this could be a great deal.
-- Since all will have similar mounting problems - I'd love to see what others are experimenting with. Like the new small Sony's, Casio's, Pentax, etc.
-- It seems that these with small lens openings might make great alternatives to the Nikons. Each should have plenty of room to center the taking lens on the eyepieces of any number of scopes out there.
-- I've done a bit of experimenting with the cameras and scopes I have and hope to see what others are doing too.
