View Full Version : The Lake District Ospreys

Just had a look myself and thought I would let everyone know the Lake District diary has been updated on Saturday 16th and Monday 18th April.

Reading the posts I think the birds may need a large hay dryer or similar to dry their nest out but the regular pair have now been left alone by intruders and seen mating regularly and the male is providing the all important food.

So there is hope yet folks of some Osprey chicks this year, weather permitting of course.

I am sure you will all join with me in thanking the team watching the nest, especially those doing night duty and wish them good luck, good weather and good fortune for the months ahead.

Ann.
I am pleased to support your vote of thanks and would extend it to everyone everywhere who is carrying out this vital task at this time of year watching nests, some in remote and inhospitable locations. We all owe them a great deal.
