I recently bought a Sony DSC-W1 but just for photographing. Now that i am looking for a spotting scope i would like to use it for digiscoping. What do you think is it a good camera for digiscoping or should i wait and buy another perhaps nikon cp 4500??

Ivan,

Your Sony is IMO a better digiscoping camera in so many respect, that I wouldn't think about the CP4500 - save the money for a good scope. One advantage with the CP4500 is the availability of commercial adapters which can be directly screwed on the filter threads, but even those can be used with your Sony with a couple of additional adapters. And of course the bracket-type adapters are compatible with almost any camera-scope combination.

Good luck,

Ilkka
