As a relatively new registered user I have been absolutely blown away by the quality of the posted digiscoping pics in the galleries.

I have a Kenko Pro Field Scope 80a (High Resolution 45 degree angled scope with 80mm objective lens) with 20-60x zoom eyepiece and an HP Photosmart 945 camera. Can anybody out there tell me if it is possible to marry these with an adapter? Is the HP Photosmart perhaps one of those "digiscoping-unfriendly" cameras I see referred to in the posted threads? All help for someone totally clueless about all this will be greatly appreciated.

The easiest way to find out is to make a set of hand-held shots with your
camera through your scope. Try the various zoom settings on your camera
and scope, and experiment with camera lens - eyepiece lens distance.
If you have two tripods, you can use one for the scope, the other for the
camera, and use the self-timer to test the potential sharpness of your
combination.

good luck,
