Hi,
Personally I tried to use a S602 Zoom with an Opticron Imagic scope, needless to say the results were hopeless - the 602's lens is just to large. I popped into my local In-Focus store and tried out several different clamps all which proved to be fruitless.
Opticron have a clamp fix arrangement which screws into the tripod mount and then clamps to the eyepiece via two jaws. In practice this took so long to attach, I ended up missing the bird I was trying to capture.
In short, I'm affraid your going to find it very frustrating!!
You may be better off looking for a cheap Nikon 950 ot 990 on a well known internet auction site, you can pick an 950 up for less than £60!! The Opticron DDC adaptor is quite good as it can be adapted to fit any eyepiece between with od of between 33 to 51mm, this costs around £49 from Opticron.
The 950 is only a 2mp camera but the results are reasonable enough if all your looking for is to record something for id purposes only, however be warned most of the 900 series cameras have suspect battery compartment covers, most I have seen have missing tags etc - This of course was fixed by the time the 4500 came to market.
Good luck and I hope this is of some help.
Cheers
Mark

Ive managed to locate a adapter for one looks fairly easy to attach.
For the money I paid for it it was worth the risk.
If it doesnt work just need to buy a step down ring and it will attach to a Nikon.
