Have a look at the Baader adapter from www.dhinds.co.uk. I use it on my opticron and I know someone who's using it with their Swarovski and has good results. Some of these images can be seen at www.sbbo.co.uk in the latest sightings.
As for my images check out my gallery, ive been using the Canon A95 and the Badder adaptor for a few months now have had really good results, plus it only costs £30 which is an added bonus.
Hope this helps
Steve

You can find the Baader link here http://www.baader-planetarium.de/zubehoer/mechadap/digi-t2.htm, but the same adapter also seems to be branded as "Scopetronics" http://www.scopetronix.com/ezpix2.htm. They have two versions - the larger (STEZPIX2L) fits with the Swarovski eyepieces. There is an earlier thread on this adapter (http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=30084).

I'm just this minute testing the Pennine Photographic cable-release bracket for the Canon A95... simple, lightweight, doesn't obstruct zoom control nor memory card slot. More to come on a new thread.

Hello,

I have one adittional question about the Baader adapter. I have an old Svarovski AT 80 scope with a 20-60x zoom eyepiece.
According to the website of Baader the diameter of the part that takes
the camera is 60mm so this should be no problem. But is it still possible to
use the zoom function of the eyepiece, when the adapter and camera are fixed.
Thanks for any experience and comments.

Rivieren,

Unfortunately the whole setup rotates if you use the zoom. This may not bother in astrophotography, but in digiscoping it disturbs composition ;). My zoom eyepiece is probably newer model than yours, but I think you will have the same problem. On the other hand, the best pictures are taken at 20x anyway.

Ilkka

I use the Bader pn a Swaro Zoom. With a little prectice you can attache the adapter to the eyepiece using only about half the clamp width and this allows the zoom to be used and maintains the stability

Hope this helps

Thanks for your advice. I got the adapter this weekend and it works fine by
only attaching it to the outer part of the zoom eyepiece, so that the zoom can still be used.
All in all the adapter seems absolutely worth its money.

Hello everybody

I have the combination swarowski AT 80, Canon A95 and the Baader adapter. Now I have ordered the Pennine cable release bracket and it just arrived. My problem ist that the camera is mounted on the support platform via the cameras tripod socket, and the tripod socket is also used for attaching the cable release bracket. Is it nevertheless possible to use the cable release bracket with this adapter (because if not, I better don't open the original packing and send it back to Pennine.)

Thanks for any help
