Could anyone recommend a Digital camera for digiscoping for under £250?
Cheers

I'd recommend checking out http://www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk/ they have refurbed Nikon Coolpix 4500 for £199 - they come boxed, as new with a full year warranty. I got mine as a refurb from them and have never had any problems with it.
The 4500 is one of the classic digiscoping cameras, you'll see lots of them out in the field.
That would still leave you some money in your budget, which I'd recommend spending on a spare battery (v.annoying if it runs out during a day birding) and some memory - amazon.co.uk do 512mb cf card for about £25.

There's also the Canon A95 at under £200. A number of birdforum members digiscope with this with some good results. I reckon it's a pretty good digiscoping camera, I have a partially completed review up at http://www.digiscoped.com/canon.html It's not perfect but then there's no perfect digiscoping camera available to my knowledge (Contax-Kyocera were close)
Watch out for the camera shop that postcardcv recommends, it's my local shop and I dump my thrashed out stuff there ;) As stated, the Nikon cp990/995/4500 are all good tried and tested digiscoping cameras... but long out of production.
cheers,

Hi
Try e-bay, i got my Nikon coolpix 995 for £148 inc postage. It was in a box with a spare 128mb memory card and works very well and is easy to use for a digiscoping novice like me.
