Interestingly, Bald Ibises are reintroduced in Europe. Austrian/Italy project is at http://www.waldrappteam.at .

Anybody has recent info about birds released last year in S Spain (from Jerez zoo)?

I read somewhere that there is also a small private captive breeding initiative, which may be the source of the unringed bird seen by a number of visiting birders this year at Trujillo castle.
