Anyone used these Steiner porro binoculars ? They come in various configurations including 8x56 and 9x40. Any experience you can share about the optical quality ?

The name will tell you what these are designed for. They are very rugged and durable and have good low-light capabilities. The design is primarily made to excell in low-light environments. It is not designed as a birder and is not known for true color representati0n. If you can live within the binos limitations, they will last you a lifetime.

Anyone with direct experience of the optical quality of these ? I'm into astronomy as well as birding, hence my interest in these binoculars.
