Hi,

I own a Canon Powershot A95 and want to start digiscoping with it. I need a 300mm or more lens (more than 8x). I have a budget of about £150 and need the telescope and adaptor. It doesn't need to be state of the art, as ime not a professional! I have been recommended to use the LensMate (http://www.lensmateonline.com/A80adapter.htm) adapter not the canon adapter as the lensmate gives a 37mm thread compared to the canon 57mm.

Can anybody give me some advice,

Thanks,

Tom.

Tom.Hello Tom, and firstly, welcome to Birdforum!
I think your budget limits your choice to a second-hand 'scope.
For some ideas of digiscoping set-ups using the Canon A95 camera, I suggest you have a browse in "Digiscoping Adaptors" forum and in "Gallery" - Equipment and Accesories category. Good luck!
