A medley of photos of varying quality and difficulty for your entertainment...

The five birds are in the first four photos, the bonus question is in the fifth one.

Shouldn't be too hard? ;)

Ok, given that that looks awfully like a sloth in the fifth picture I reckon not all of these photos were taken in USA, so I'm going to go for Pine Siskin, Sunbittern, Sharp-shinned Hawk, and a Cattle Egret/White Ibis mix.

Fingers crossed (more in hope than expectation)!

JWN Andrewes is off to an impressive start with two corrects and a partial!

Photo_luver has one correct.

Erizzo needs to try again.

MSA: no, it is not.

Brown Creeper has one correct answer.

Here is a better view:

(edited to add I'm pretty sure this one meets the criteria for allowable nestbox photo: digiscoped from 20+ stories below of a very well publicized family living downtown above the busiest street in town?)

Maitreya has two correct.

All have been at least partially identified except for #4 -- I won't give full credit for the bonus question in #5 just yet.

On #4, it sounds like time for a hint. A flock up these would fly up the Sarapiqui River in Costa Rica each morning at dawn, and then down the river again each evening at sunset, which is when this photo was taken.

Reddish Egret for #4?

Getting quite close! The flying together back and forth every morning and evening was meant to be a good hint... ;)
